Charles Antonio Cormode

... you created my innermost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made ...  Psalm 139.

 

Baby Cormode was born early Tuesday September 16 at 6:28 am after a marathon 24 hour labor. 

We named him Charles Antonio Cormode, we call him Charlie or Tonio. 

Charlie weighed 6 lbs, 7 oz and was 20.5 inches long at birth.

One of Charlie's namesakes, Antonio from Italy wrote me last week to say, "Children are a prize given by God." 

when Charlie isn't crying, I wholehearted agree.

Charlie's name

Charles Higley is my (Daniel's) grandfather.  He lived in Kansas City and passed away September two years ago.  My mother, Charlea is also named after Charles Higley.  The baby has her initials.  So in a way, little Charlie carries both their names.

Antonio is a friend in Italy whom we lived with while on an internship at an Italian church.
