Nana & Papa
Home Up

Since Sam's birth was so unexpectedly early, Amy was convinced that this baby would also come early.  To that end, at about 35.5 weeks, she was sure labor was coming and so Nana Birk graciously flew out to help us get ready.  Little did we know then that Nick would decided to defy the odds and enter this world just a few hours shy of his due date.  This meant that Nana spent almost a month with us before baby even showed up.  We have enjoyed having her with us, as is evidenced by the photos below.  It's been a real gift to share our Tucson life with her and benefit from all her TLC for us.

This was about ten days before Nick was born.

Here she is expertly juggling three boys post-bath, pre-bed

Ok, maybe we've made her a little crazy sometimes:)

But we sure do love her!

Papa Birk arrived one week after Nick was born

Charlie and Sam were SOOOOO excited to see him!

Aunt Sara flew in late Friday night from Chicago

watching Saturday morning cartoons

middle children of the world unite! - perhaps what Aunt Sara was whispering in Sam's ear...
